Living simply is a journey. It is about practice, patience, consistency and commitment. If you are looking for a laundry list of tips and how to’s, there are several websites that will give you 50 to 100 ways to simplify. I will only offer a few tips, because as a journey, living simply begins with the first step. And my interest here is to keep those steps simple. Our focus is on the impact our interior environment has on our personal well-being. The first step begins with the how, when, where and what.

Simple Living Tips
- Throw something out and replace it with nothing.
- Rid yourself of at least 5 items each week.
- Have a wastebasket, the shredder and your favorite scissors handy. Don’t declutter without them.
Simplifying your space is a journey. It begins where you can most manage your effort and your time. Implement practices in short but consistent bursts. Start with some decluttering and always finish with some cleaning. The point is to start . . . somewhere.
